Abstract: Analysing the spatial variation of flood disasters has important practical significance for scientifically managing flood disasters. In this paper, the spatial variation characteristics of flood disasters in Liaoning Province are analysed based on the statistics data from past 60 years. The research results indicate that floods in Liaoning Province cause the agriculture loss, and disaster areas are increasing. Although the affected population, the number of death tolls and houses collapsed decrease gradually every year, the trend of direct economic loss due to disasters does not change significantly. In addition, the intensity of flood fluctuates through the years with no clear trend since 1990.
