Comprehensive evaluation of flood prevention risk of tailings reservoir

Abstract:focusing on the possibility of accidents, this study developed a comprehensive evaluation method of flood prevention risk of tailings reservoir, which considered both the possibility of the accident and the loss caused by the accident. The flood prevention risk grade was divided into four levels. The indexes system include the possibility indexes, such as the flood control standard and the height difference between the top elevation of the beach and reservoir water level; and the loss indexes, such as the loss of life and property. An evaluation model has been developed based on the variable fuzzy theory. In order to provide support and reference for flood prevention risk management of tailings reservoir, a tailings reservoir in Benxi City has been studied as an example in this paper.
