Abstract:The Flood Control Characteristic Level is an important indicator to reflect flood control situation of rivers and lakes, which offers crucial evidences for flood management and emergency rescue activities. Based on the characteristics of Taihu Basin river network area,this paper analyzes the rationality of flood control characteristic water level of representative stations in plain river network area from two aspects:the coordination of flood control characteristic water level for adjacent stations in the same area and the coordination of regional flood situation. Based on the results, this paper proposes adjustment suggestions, which can provide important reference for flood control characteristic water level adjustment in plain river network area.
