Abstract:Under the climate background of frequent local heavy rainfall, the situation of flash flood disaster prevention is severe, The main characteristics of flash flood disasters under the current situation is introduced, taking the “2020.8” rainstorm occurred in Luonan County of Shaanxi Province as an example.Aiming at this situation and considering the catastrophic characteristics of flash flood, a novel idea of structural measures for flash flood disasters prevention from a watershed perspective is proposed drawing on the experience of flash flood prevention of the Frome catchment located in British.The key point of this engineering approach is to arrange energy dissipation and regulation measures from the headwater catchment step by step. It is hoped that this idea can provide reference for flash flood disasters prevention in China.
