Assessment method of urban storm flood hydrological effect based on recorded data and multi-mode coupling model

Abstract:Rapid urbanization in China leads to the prominent urban storm flood problems. Based on the research and development trend of urban hydrological effect assessment, an assessment method based on recorded data and multi-mode coupled numerical model is proposed.By collecting the relevant data of typical rainstorm events, the impacts of soil permeability and roughness on urban rainstorm characteristics were analyzed and evaluated. The all-physical-processes numerical model is established,with fully considering each stage of urban storm flood process, and coupling modules for each stage. The model can be utilized to analyze urban storm flood mechanism, and assess urban storm flood hydrology effect.
