Abstract:The Hanbei River Basin experienced a rare rainstorm and flood in July 2016,and many levees breached in the upper reaches of the basin. In order to comprehensively and scientifically understand the characteristics of rainstorm and flood in Hanbei River Basin and analyze the current flood control capacity, a comprehensive flood simulation model coupled with hydrologic simulation and hydrodynamic calculation was established, and four typical historical flood processes were selected in 1997, 2007, 2008 and 2016 in Hanbei River Basin to verify the flood simulation accuracy of the model. The results show that the hydrological simulation model based on MIKE SHE can roughly reflect the regional flood characteristics above Tianmen station, and the flood peak value, peak time and flood hydrograph have a certain reliability.
