Abstract：The ADCIRC (an ADvanced CIRCulation model for oceanic，coastal and estuarine waters)hydrodynamics, Jelesnianski wind field and pressure field coupled storm surge numerical analysis model were used to study the evolution process of typical typhoon storm surge in the Bohai Sea on the situation of floodplain and levee overtopping in Caofeidian district. The current situation of tidal protection and hidden danger areas in Caofeidian district were evaluated, and the comprehensive tidal protection measures to solve the current hidden dangers were proposed. The study showed that: under the action of typhoon storm surge, the low-pressure typhoon field drove the regional tidal current to move at a high speed, which caused the water level near the central pressure field to increase significantly. The water increase caused by typhoon was 2.754 m along the coast of Caofeidian. Most of the existing tidal-proof facilities in Caofeidian district can resist the impact of the storm surge, and only a few areas such as the south bank of the Nachao River were flooded. The overall risk in the northern and eastern parts of Caofeidian district is relatively small, and the main risks are Level Ⅲ and Ⅳ. The highrisk areas of Level I and II are mainly concentrated on both sides of the river channel entering into the sea. The results have important references for the disaster prevention and mitigation work in Caofeidian district.
