Abstract:
The coupled atmospheric-hydrologic forecasting technology is an effective way to extend the lead time in flood forecasting and has a wide prospect in flash flood disaster prevention. In this study, the research progress, issues and applicability of the coupled atmospheric-hydrologic forecasting technology are discussed in detail from the aspects of rainfall forecasting and watershed hydrological simulation. The application situation and function of the coupled atmospheric-hydrologic forecasting technology for flash flood disaster prevention is summarized. The technology is still at the stage of exploration and the research direction is put forward for flash flood disaster prevention.
