Abstract:
Taking Tieling City of Liaoning Province as the study area, the rainstorm and flood law is systematically identified from the four aspects of rainstorm, flood, runoff and confluence and comprehensive characteristics by using the methods of spatial analysis, linear analysis and variable fuzzy clustering. The results show that the maximum 24-hour rainfall in Tieling City is some 120~350 mm, the number of rainstorm days is 8~21 d/10a, and the number of heavy rainstorm days is 0.4~3.2 d/10a, which shows a decreasing trend from south to north and from west to east in Tieling City. The annual maximum discharge of flood tends to decline. Changtu County in the north of Tieling City is mainly in the mode of super infiltration runoff, and the other counties (cities) are mainly in the mode of full storage runoff. Tieling City as a whole is located between the prone area and the less prone area of rainstorms and floods in Liaoning Province. Changtu County is located in the less prone area of rainstorms and floods, and most of the other counties (cities) are located in the prone areas. The research results are expected to provide support for the flood control and disaster reduction of Tieling City, and also have reference significance for the flood security of Liaoning Province and even the whole Liaohe River Basin.
