Abstract: Yunnan Province is the worst hit area of mountain torrents in China,so it is of great significance to do well the flood monitoring and early warning work.In order to improve the ability of flood emergency monitoring in the middle and small river areas controlled by no hydrologic station and the low flood measurement standard Hydrologic Station,the Hydrologic Emergency Survey section reserve is carried out in the whole province.This paper introduces the necessity,working objectives and technical scheme of Hydrologic Emergency Monitoring Section Reserves in Yunnan Province,analyzes and summarizes the achievements and experiences of the project,and puts forward some suggestions on the follow-up management of Hydrologic Emergency Monitoring Section Reserves,provide reference for other areas to carry out similar work.
