Abstract:
Taihu Basin is a large plain tidal river network area, with low-lying terrain and dense water network. A unique polder control model has gradually formed by the practice of flood control in Taihu Basin. This study is based on the investigation of the current situation of the polder area, statistically analyzes the treatment situation of the polder area in cities and watershed areas of Taihu Basin, and provides the characteristic of the key statistics such as the number, area and flow of the current polder area. At the same time, initial analyses the connection between the construction of the current polder area, the social and economic development, and the treatment benefit. Finally, from collaborative governance of the total basin, this study puts forward suggestion in scientific planning, collaborative governance, joint scheduling, optimal benefit, digital and intelligent management of polder area, and provides reference for the government and management of the polder area in the Taihu Basin in the new era.
