Abstract: In order to improve the joint scheduling capability of reservoir group flood control, the joint scheduling practice of reservoir group in the Zishui Basin of Hunan Province to cope with the basin-wide or regional-type large floods in 2017, 2019 and 2020 is taken as an example, based on a comprehensive analysis of the basin's water engineering and storm flood characteristics, the effectiveness and shortcomings of the joint scheduling scheme of reservoir group during the basin-wide or regional-type large floods are summarized. The optimization space of reservoir group flood control scheduling with the controlling reservoir of Zhexi Reservoir as the core is discussed, and the countermeasures and suggestions for further optimizing the scheduling scheme of Zishui Reservoir group are put forward, with a view to providing references for the joint scheduling of reservoir group flood control for coping with large floods in the Zishui Basin.
