Analysis and suggestions of summer drought in Ningbo City in 2022

After the end of the Rainy Season in 2022, Ningbo City was controlled by the Western Pacific Subtropical High Pressure Center and experienced three rounds of rare and sustained high temperature weather. The high temperature and lack of rain caused varying degrees of drought in various districts(counties, cities) of Ningbo City. In early September, the drought was lifted due to the impact of Typhoon No. 2211 "Hinnamnor". This article studies the causes of drought in the summer of 2022 and evaluates the level of drought, and compares and analyzes it with historical drought conditions in the same period. It proposes relevant countermeasures and suggestions for drought disaster prevention, providing decision-making reference for similar droughts situations in the future.
