Abstract:The Qiyi Reservoir undertakes the flood protection tasks of Yushan County and downstream Shangrao City in Jiangxi Province, providing an important basic security for the economic and social development of Yushan County. The rainstorm and flood of Qiyi Reservoir generally occur from mid June to mid July, the time of convergence is short, and the characteristics of the flood is high peak and large volume in recent three years.By analyzing flood scheduling from 2015 to 2022,the peak flood has been reduced by over 50%, and the maximum peak delaying time has reached 65 h,the Qiyi Reservoir has fully utilized its peak detention and delaying function. The case of the high peak flow and total flood volume of the reservoir in the past three years, the maximum controlled discharge flow has not exceeded the specified design value, which is significant benefit to flood prevention. The reservoir may further carry out research on the discharge interval control of normal floods, improving the refined scheduling ability of the 300~700 m3/s interval.By summarizing the characteristics of rainfall and floods and the practice of reservoir scheduling in recent years, provide data support for optimizing reservoir operation,it can provide a reference for improving the early warning and forecasting capabilities and optimizing operational management for the reservoirs.
