Research on urban flood and waterlogging defense systems based on sponge city

Abstract:Urban flood and waterlogging disaster have become an urban water problem that cannot be ignored. As a new national rainwater management strategy, sponge city has become a current research hotspot. Based on the idea of sponge city, this paper expounds the urban flood and waterlogging defense systems from three aspects:large sponge in river and lake, medium sponge in pipe network and small sponge in source. Combined with the experience of Guangzhou City, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the urban flood and waterlogging defense, in order to provide some guidance for the urban flood and waterlogging defense in China.
