Abstract:As the tallest dam in the United States, Oroville Dam's main and emergency spillways were significantly damaged in February 2017. In this paper, a brief introduction of the spillways and functions of Oroville Dam is presented, the emergency decision-making processes are probed; and several recommendations are proposed as the references for the relevant agencies in China.
