Operation dispatching feature analysis in Swan Lake flood storage and detention area in Dongying City based on TELEMAC-2D

Abstract:China is in the stage of rapid urbanization, which causes more and more serious urban waterlogging problems. Based on the TELEMAC-2D hydrodynamic model, mathematical model of Swan Lake flood storage and detention area in Dongying City were established and the inflow processes of Swan Lake flood storage and detention area were simulated under three rainfall scenarios:Typhoon "Lekima", Typhoon "Wimbiya", 50-year-return rainfall event.The simulation results show that:The total volume are 4.70, 4.51 and 4.01 million m3 respectively under different combination scenarios which are no more than the water storage capacity of Swan Lake flood storage and detention areas.By opening the water intake of Swan Lake flood storage and detention area, the water level of Guangli River can be effectively controlled below 3.3 m, so as to ensure that the urban drainage system is not supported by the roof and maintain the normal drainage function.The simulation results can provide a scientific basis for the operation water regulation and flood control of Swan Lake flood storage and detention area.
