Research on 3D visualization system for flood propagation based on UAV aerial technique

Abstract:This paper proposes a 3D visualization system for flood propagation based on UAV aerial technology, aiming at frequent mountain flood disasters and more serious situations. The research integrated application of technologies of wireless sensor network, embedded computer, radio frequency identification, data communication, electronics and information technology, hydraulic technology, as well as data processing and low altitude aerial photography technology to construct a system of 3D real-time flood routing based on "Internet +". The system was repeatedly verified by the result of mountain flood investigation evaluation. Consequently, an appropriate warning indicator was ultimately determined.
