Abstract：Flash flood disaster risk mapping in China is an important achievement in the investigation and evaluation of flash flood disaster. The maps of risk areas are direct reflection to the results of current capability of flash flood control，classification of hazard intensity and the analysis results of early warning indicators. However, it hasn't yet been specifically mapping technical requirements and mapping process for the maps of risk areas. This paper combines the experience of the drawing of the risk area mapping in the analysis and evaluation of flash flood disaster in Hebei province, Using GIS tool，the drawing process and the technology of the flash flood disaster risk area are put forward. The study results provide reference to related subjects.
